NZ Heart foundation calls for a national action plan
The NZ Heart Foundation has published a ‘white paper’ calling for a national action plan. They say that “Heart health outcomes for New Zealanders are still unacceptable. Cardiovascular disease is a group of conditions that affect the heart and blood vessels. Together these conditions are responsible for a third of all deaths and are New Zealand’s leading cause of health loss.”
The white paper for heart health provides a high-level view of heart health outcomes in New Zealand
and the need for a coordinated national action plan to improve them for all New Zealanders. Go to the Heart Foundation website to find out more and download the white paper.
