Australia and New Zealand members’ research grants (current opportunities)

CSANZ-Boehringer Ingelheim Heart Failure Research Grant

Applications are now open from early to mid-stage researchers and healthcare professionals for the CSANZ-Boehringer Ingelheim Heart Failure Research Grant.  The value of the grant is A$50,000. Both interventional and observational studies in heart failure will be considered. Applications close on Monday, 15 June, 2020.

2020 CSANZ-Bayer Young Investigator Research Grants

The CSANZ-Bayer Young Investigator Research Grants have been made possible through unrestricted funding by Bayer with the aim of supporting exceptional young cardiovascular research talent in Australia and New Zealand. In 2020, two grants each to the value of A$50,000 are available. Applicants must be:

  • a member of the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand
  • six years or less post-award of PhD or a postgraduate qualification
  • domiciled in Australia or New Zealand
  • affiliated with an academic/scientific institution or national health care system

A.H. Couch Research Scholarship

The intent of this scholarship is to support a cardiologist-in-training to accomplish a small research project. It is expected that this will be undertaken either before, during or at the end of cardiology advanced training. The project is to be undertaken within New Zealand.
