NZ Cardiac Network National Expected Standards

The National Expected Standards for common cardiac conditions have been developed by the National Cardiac Network and endorsed by the CEOs of our DHBs. The intent is to improve equity of access and outcomes for cardiac disease, which remains the commonest cause of health loss in New Zealand. The standards define not only the expectations of who should be referred but also when patients will be seen with appropriate investigations. They also provide a framework for auditing care around the country.
